 Winter concert success at Big Noise
Festive fun at Big Noise Wester Hailes

At the end of the year, children, young people, and Big Noise community members across the country came together for a series of spectactular winter concerts to celebrate the end of another wonderful year at Big Noise.

 

Across the eight special concerts, our fantastic children and young people had the opportunity to show off all they have learned at Big Noise over the past year to family and friends, as well as celebrating the festive season.

Our young musicians put on a show for all those in attendance, performing eight fantastic and varied programmes of music. 

Included amongst the pieces performed were Big Noise staples 'Mission Mars' and 'The Journey Begins', film music from movies such as 'The Polar Express', 'How to Train Your Dragon', and 'The Greatest Showman', and the festive favourites 'Sleigh Ride' , ‘Frosty the Snowman’,  and ‘Jingle Bell Rock’

For Big Noise in Aberdeen, this year's concerts marked a special anniversary as we marked the tenth birthday of Big Noise Torry with special messages from staff members from years gone by and a slideshow of photos from 10 fantastic years of Big Noise in the community. 
 
Children and young people took part in two special concerts at Greyhope Community Hub, where they were joined by members of Big Noise Torry's Ukelele Band and adult orchestra, ‘The Noise’, to celebrate our big birthday!
Kasia, whose children Bartek and Antek performed in both of Big Noise Torry's concerts, said: 
 
“I went to both concerts this week, and it’s been so nice to be here and to see everyone come out for concerts like this. We had so much fun! 
 
“All of the kids that performed should be so proud of themselves, they were amazing – but that also goes for the Big Noise staff too because of all of the hard work they do for our kids.  
 
“I think Big Noise teaches them much more than just music, but also things that are so important for music like responsibility and commitment.”
