Clare Thorn - Operations Manager

Clare.jpgClare studied at the Royal Academy of Music and Trinity College of Music.  After graduating in 2005 Clare worked as a freelance trumpet player and teacher in London until moving up to Scotland in 2012.  Clare also has a background in administration having worked as an administrator for Berkshire Maestros in her Gap year. Clare recently took up the violin for fun and plays for Big Noise Raploch's adult orchestra 'The Noise'.

Erica Gilchrist - Administrator (job share)

Erika.jpgErica grew up in North Wales and studied Stage Management at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama. After graduating in 2000, she spent several years working as a Deputy Stage Manager on tour and at Theatre by the Lake in Keswick before starting a new career in teaching. Since then, Erica has worked in a wide range of roles from Lecturer to Special Constable; Communications Officer to Reprographics Technician and even Jewellery Designer/Maker and, last year, Erica moved to Stirling with her family. She is now very happy to be part of the Big Noise Team and is considering taking up playing the bongo drums or studying grade 1 kazoo.



Mee Ching - Administrator (job share)

Mee-Ching - picture.jpgMee-Ching is from the Isle of Bute and began playing piano at the age of 8 and also saxophone aged 12. She went onto graduate from the University of Strathclyde with a BA in Applied Music specialising in business. After working for various arts organisations in Glasgow, Mee-Ching worked for several years at the Scottish Music Centre, providing information on all Scotland 's music-making and promoting it around the world. She then went onto work at Glasgow Life City Halls education department before changing path to train and work as a florist. Mee-Ching has returned to music in 2017 as part time Administrator at Big Noise. Mee-Ching was formerly a member of the Bute Community band and in her spare time now currently a plays with Brass, Aye?
