Calum has been making a big noise since he was given a xylophone for his first Christmas. With piano, brass and percussion lessons from an early age he was encouraged to play music all through childhood and hasn’t stopped since. He has performed live on television, ran around the globe with the circus, sailed the seas playing jazz, and toured and recorded with some of Scotland’s finest singer songwriters.
Driven by a fascination for making sounds from unusual objects, he has made various percussion instruments and contraptions from recycled materials and challenged hundreds of children to do the same. As an experienced educator and workshop leader he is committed to passing on the joy of music and song and loves to encourage artistic expression in all forms.
