Big Noise Raploch Manager – Kathy Whitaker
As well as teaching violin, Kathy Whitaker leads the team delivering Big Noise in Raploch.
Kathy played with the National Youth Orchestra and National Youth Chamber Orchestra. She graduated from Cambridge University with a degree in Music and Theology, and has taught violin for 20 years in and out of schools. She has toured extensively and played for TV and radio broadcasts. Her work with young people has included the National Children’s Orchestra and a children’s ceilidh band.
Alongside musical activities, she has held roles in nursery management, worked as project and volunteer coordinator for Oasis Esteem Sex and Relationships program in secondary schools, and latterly managed human resources and projects for the Real Food Cafe in Tyndrum.
